Big Yellow is a Perth based mining contractor, and we hire FIFO and site based crews for open cut gold and iron ore projects across Western Australia. Our head office and equipment storage facility are at 63 Dowd St, Welshpool, and our projects run from Norseman through the Goldfields to the Mid-West, including Mt Magnet and Cue.

The roles we hire for most often are excavator and dump truck operators, blast crew labourers and shot firers, service persons, open pit mining supervisors, training advisors and undergraduate mining engineers.
Working Alongside Our Mining Leadership Team
What makes the work different here is the leadership team. Mine managers, mining engineers, geologists, mine surveyors and metallurgists work on the ground alongside the fleet, so operators, fitters and blast crew are working next to the people making the technical calls.
